The filing and registration of a trade mark in Greece is carried out at the Directorate of Trade Marks of the General Secretariat of Commerce and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Development and Investment.
The filing of a trade mark is made both in paper form, by appearing in person at the building of the General Secretariat of Commerce and Consumer Protection, at Kaniggos Square, postcode 10181 and, specifically, at the Directorate of Trade Marks, office 224(b), on the 2nd floor, every day except Thursdays, between 10.30 and 14.00, and online, by using the e-tool (http://efiling.gge.gr/sp-ui-tmefiling/) created with the support of the Cooperation Fund of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), which operates on a 24-hour basis, in order to better serve trade mark applicants.
Both the forms that are filled out when filing the trade mark in paper form, and the steps that are followed and completed when using the e-tool, are written in Greek. To sign in to the e-tool, the personal TAXIS codes of each user are used.
